Level and character generator, more about female dwarfs.
Hello everyone!
Today we talking about female dwarfs, UI and level generator.
Female dwarfs
Last time we didn’t draw as much as we had planned, so female dwarfs were partially shown :) This time we made up for a lost time. So, we already have clothes for them, a body and a lot of hairstyles. Our pixel artist Selma is involved in all this from the beginning to the end.
Here is an example of how portraits of female dwarfs in an interface might look like:
In fantasy, there is no specific indication of what a dwarf's skin color should be, but mostly they write that their skin is dark. I believe that it should vary from habitat and time spent underground. And dwarves can work and live both on the surface and underground, which is why we have a rich selection of skin color:

Interface
This month there was a lot of work on the level generator and interface, so today we can already show the first developments. The interface and icons are naturally not final and for the most part placeholders, it will continue to look for their own style and fit into it. Now available: clickable character icons (alive and dead), building a route, a window with the remaining run points, a window with a description of the enemy, a switch button, clickable icons of enemies (alive and dead), a zone of movement and visualization of all this.
I tried to draw my own vision of the interface, inspired by Celtic patterns:
Level Generator
It is launched as a separate “application”, it is able to build walls automatically and scatter other objects, such as puddles, dirt, dips and grass. Also puts the doors (they are already an interactive object in the game) and the torches.
And finally, clothing and goblin armor. As planned for intelligent creatures, we also make a generator that will give out a pack of goblins to the level in different equipment. That is, someone may have, for example, leather gloves, iron armor, a copper helmet and no pants.
We believe that this will look more diverse and more interesting than the memorized presets of enemies with a certain weapon and armor set. But time will tell ...
